A journey into the sea.

The fascination of being submerged below the surface of the sea.

The phenomenon of buoyancy that was discovered by Archimedes. Place and Environment.

This place, where I live, The Atlantic ocean, is icy and crisp yet at the same it makes you feel alive with the limitless curiosity and mystery it holds. I love exploring and sharing this adventure with my family and lately we have been diving and discovering some secrets of the sea.

To swim with your eyes open, wave after wave.

The feeling of movement from warm air to the cooler water where you are consciously holding your breath, provides a platform to examine your own feelings and motives.

Light and dark. The sudden transitions from being at the light of the surface to being surrounded by unfamiliar shapes and shadows as you descend. Appearing and disappearing. Hidden light and the space in between. The detail of formations and patterns established.

Finding shells with stories, remains of coral, mermaids purses and more.

Recently I have started learning more about The Great African kelp forests. A whole world of ocean animals living amongst these sturdy sea structures. Watching them move and sway displays the power of the sea.

The ocean is a playground for the senses.

There is complete fascination about the way elements are formed and how their shapes play important roles to the way they function. Sharing this brilliance and beauty through artwork will hopefully help us look after our planet.

Swimming and walking, being in the moment, over and over again, helps build up a feeling and memory. I hope to explore and document these moments in a creative way to share with you.
